Originally part of the lands owned by the Chief of Clan MacPherson, Glenshero and Sherramore are now combined to form a marvellously diverse Highland estate with a fine Victorian Lodge which has been extensively modernised. The Estate, encompassing the head waters of the River Spey, extends to 35,000 acres and provides a wide range of seasonal activities.
Accommodation
The Lodge is the principal house on the Glenshero Estate; built in about 1860, it has been owned by the present owners for more than 60 years. It is available for Spring and Summer holidays between May and July and for sporting holidays with grouse shooting and stalking between early August and late October. A cook can be made available at the tenant's cost.
Stalking
Red Deer stalking is available for two parties each day and about 150 stags are shot each season
Walked up Grouse
Walked up grouse shooting is available most years and whilst bags of 10-15 brace are the norm, historically up to 75 brace have been shot in the past in a single day.
Trout Fishing
There is abundant trout fishing both on the Spey and a number of hill lochs and a boat is available to Lodge guests.
